Our Taboo Word Game

My students created a taboo word game which is made of a waste cardboard. They cut and prepared playing cards on which they wrote the vocabulary they learned in unit 6. The objective of the game is for a player to have their partners guess the word on the player's card without using the word itself or additional words listed on the card. While playing the game, students both learned the words and had fun.

It's a word game prepared by my students.Firstly,they collected the covers.Then,they prepared the words about television.They wrote the words and printed the related photos.Finally,they sticked.It's time to play! We are opening the covers.We have to find and match the words with related photos.You have to keep in your mind.The words are related to fifth unit at 7th grade.

WORD GAME

CATCH THE FLYING WORDS    

      Our word game is just about funny flies which are on the pictures of jobs sticked on a waste cardboard. It is related with the sixth and ninth unit of 6th grade.

      Two groups of ten or more players can play the game.The game starts with the first players.Each one has  the flapper and gets ready for the word.One of the jobs pronounced in English loudly.The players try to find the picture of the job quickly.The  one who finds first ,gets the point.At the end, the group which gets the highest score wins the game.Good luck!

Here is a word game.We designed our game with using toilet roll and waste boxes.We wrote the third and nine units vocabularies(adjectives,comparatives) of the 6th grade.There are two vocabulary boxes.We wrote the words(Turkish,English) on the paper,and we put the words in these boxes.

          Two or more player can play our game.First player gets one of the Turkish words and tries to find the adjective and comparative forms the English meaning.If the answer is correct,the player puts the words on the double-sided tape and gets the point.The player who gets the highest score  is the winner of the game.

WORD GAMES FROM MY STUDENTS

Students  prepared vocabulary matching games using different items such as plastic caps,tooth sticks,colorful papers.Students can play these games both individuallly or in groups.

Categorize the words'

We designed this game for classifying the words. They painted the sticks then write the categorize such as 'appearance-personality' We write words on the paper and stick on cups. They match the word with its category. It is related to first unit of 7th grades

SYNONYM WORD GAME

Here is a word game prepared by my students. They cut the colorful papers and put it on the wheel. They wrote the first unit vocabularies of the 7th grade. Then, my students wrote the synonym of these words on the colored latchees. The aim of this word game is to find the synonym of the word from the wheel and match with the latches. Each student play in turn and get point when give the true answer. Hope you will like it:) Have fun:)

Here there is a word game created by Pineda de Mar secondary school students.  It's a kind of basketball game in which students take a plastic bottle cap, which is upside down and contains one word, and they must guess if the word is a noun, a verb, an adjective, a preposition or an adverb. When they have it clear, they must throw it and try to put it inside the toilet roll.
